Al Mawashi has announced the appointment of Usama Khaled Boodai to lead its team, in the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
"Boodai’s selection comes under Al Mawashi’s strategy for consistent endeavors to retain, attract and hire Kuwaiti distinguished competent personnel," the company said. Boodai possesses a practical experience exceeding 17 years in the field of general administration, sales management, business development, strategic analysis and planning, in addition to his vast experience in the field of trading, transport, distribution and manufacturing of foodstuff. The Company added: it is worth noting that Boodai is a holder of a bachelor degree in industrial engineering from Kuwait University, after which he worked in Al Mawashi as a manager of the external trade department, then he moved to the Palms Agricultural Production Company as deputy CEO. Afterwards, Boodai worked as a general manager of Rakaia Holding Company, a subsidiary of Aref Investment Company, before jointing Al Mawashi, Boodai worked in Wataniya Telecommunication Company in the position of retail sales department manager since 2010.
During his service with Wataniya, Boodai laid down the marketing and sales strategy for the retail sales department and provided direction and leadership to the retail sale stores managers in order to achieve the sales targets. Boodai has also contributed in developing strategies and constant enhancement of the performance of retail sales stores, and contributed in developing new products to acquire new market shares.
During his first service period with Al Mawashi, he worked as manager of the external trade department during the period from 2000 to 2006. As part of the Company’s team, he founded new opportunities for the Company, exported products to the Gulf markets, and succeeded in exporting products to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Lebanon. During this period, he was an active member of the Company general strategy committee.
